The film 'Notes from the Last Row,' starring actors Choi Minsik and Choi Hyun-wook, will be released on Netflix on June 26.
'Notes from the Last Row' is a suspense drama that tells the story of Heo Moon-oh, a failed writer and Korean literature professor, who discovers the genius of Lee Kang, a boy sitting in the very back row of his classroom, and becomes obsessed with his writing.
The teaser poster released on May 29 catches the eye by capturing Korean literature professor Heo Moon-oh (Choi Minsik) and his student Lee Kang (Choi Hyun-wook) in a single frame. Heo Moon-oh's shocked expression, looking as if he is possessed by something, contrasts with Lee Kang's somewhat cynical expression and chilly aura, sparking curiosity about how their relationship will unfold.
The accompanying teaser trailer begins with Heo Moon-oh hesitating in front of his open laptop before ultimately giving up on writing. Having lived as a university Korean literature professor without writing a single book since publishing his debut novel 20 years ago, Heo Moon-oh one day meets Lee Kang, a student who always sits in the very back row of the classroom.
Heo Moon-oh tells Lee Kang, who appears indifferent with an unreadable expression, "You have talent." In the following scene, Lee Kang expresses his gratitude to Heo Moon-oh during an award acceptance speech, raising curiosity about whether they can build a good teacher-student relationship. Meanwhile, Heo Moon-oh's frustrated reaction as he reads Lee Kang's writing and mutters to himself, "It's always to be continued," heightens intrigue about Lee Kang's genius writing skills.
Along with the intriguing storyline, the generation-transcending acting ensemble of Choi Minsik and Choi Hyun-wook is also highly anticipated.
