The film 'COLONY' has surpassed 2.5 million viewers nationwide.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network on May 29, 'COLONY' drew 125,435 viewers on May 28, maintaining its top spot at the box office. This brings its cumulative audience to 2,503,918.
Released on May 21, 'COLONY' surpassed 1 million viewers in just four days and 2 million in five days, before reaching the 2.5 million milestone in eight days. It is expected to surpass 3 million viewers this weekend.
'COLONY' is a film about isolated survivors inside a sealed building following a mysterious outbreak, fighting against infected individuals who evolve in unpredictable ways. It is the latest work by director Yeon Sang-ho, and stars Jun Ji-hyun, Koo Kyohwan, Ji Changwook, Shin Hyun-been, and Kim Shin-rok.
