The conflict between Mr. Kim and Sunja from Season 28, who became known through their appearances on the ENA and SBS Plus dating variety shows 'I Am Solo' and 'I Am Solo: Love Goes On', appears to be escalating into a legal battle. Mr. Kim has continued their online feud by revealing his bank account balance.
Recently, Mr. Kim shared a screenshot of his bank account on his social media. The screen showed a balance of over 100 million won, and he wrote, "Honestly, it's true that I haven't saved much for my age. But I don't think I'm destitute or struggling in poverty."
He added, "You should think long and hard about why I didn't open up about my financial situation to you," and "I've gone through some absurd things, to the point where I'm actually revealing my bank account."
Netizens speculated that his post was a direct response to an earlier exposé-style post by his ex-girlfriend, Sunja from Season 28.
Previously, Sunja expressed strong emotions on her social media, seemingly targeting Mr. Kim. She wrote, "What was I trying to endure while planning a future with you, someone who is at that age, living in a cramped little studio apartment with nothing but debt?" She also described him as "someone with a lot of insecurities, rock-bottom self-esteem, and many deficiencies," and "someone who is psychologically exhausting, with greed for food, a desperate need for recognition, an obsession with winning, and a stingy, cheap nature." Sunja further claimed, "I forgave you when you came back to me after your rebound relationship failed during the brief time we didn't see each other," and "You severely hurt my child and left my family devastated in tears."
Prior to this, Mr. Kim had also hinted at their breakup by posting cryptic messages such as, "Many people tried to stop me, but I went with my feelings and judgment," "I had my doubts, and as expected, it turned out this way," and "I have no luck with women."
The conflict now appears to have led to legal action. On May 21, Mr. Kim posted on his social media, "It is an honor to work with a lawyer whom the other party would absolutely dread to face," alongside a photo of a portion of a lawsuit. The revealed document showed a claim for damages amounting to 50 million won. Online speculation suggests that this lawsuit for damages is directed at Sunja from Season 28.
The two began dating publicly after the broadcast of 'I Am Solo: Love Goes On' last March, drawing attention by running a couple's social media account and appearing together on live broadcasts to show their affection.
