Big Ocean, the world’s first sign language idol group, is making a comeback with a new track filled with sincerity for their fans.
Big Ocean will release their digital single "Make it up to you" on various music streaming platforms at 6:00 PM KST today.
This new song carries the group's apologies and gratitude toward the fans who have waited for a long time following the sudden cancellation of their European tour.
"Make it up to you" is a pop-punk track rooted in 1970s disco-funk and city pop vibes. The lyrics feature the cities from their canceled European tour in sequence, naturally incorporating local expressions from each city to deliver an even more special message to their fans. Notably, all members participated in writing the lyrics, adding deeper meaning to the track.
Grammy-winning hearing-impaired producer Frankie Biggz once again participated in the production. Having previously collaborated on their 3rd mini-album "THE GREATEST BATTLE," the team has once again meticulously crafted a sound that perfectly captures Big Ocean’s unique color.
Ahead of the official release, Big Ocean held a private online concert for ticket holders of the canceled European tour on May 17 at 10:00 PM KST, where they performed the new song for the first time. It is reported that the members personally communicated with fans to express their regret and apologies.
Meanwhile, Big Ocean has also been participating in meaningful activities to promote an inclusive voting culture, recently contributing to the voting encouragement song "To the Vote, To Tomorrow."
