The episode of 'Curious Stories Y' airing on the 15th will delve into the true identity of Jang Yoon-gi, the suspect in the 'high school student murder case' that shocked Gwangju on Children's Day, and the truth he is hiding.
On May 5th, a high school student named Tae-rin (pseudonym) was attacked and killed by a man named Jang, whom she had never met, while she was heading home after studying late with a friend. The life of the 18-year-old girl, who dreamed of becoming an emergency medical technician to save lives, was cut short on the cold street.
After his arrest, Jang claimed that he committed the crime impulsively, intending to take someone with him while contemplating an extreme choice. However, his subsequent actions were far from 'impulsive.' Immediately after the crime, Jang visited a laundromat to wash his blood-stained clothes, where he appeared extremely calm, even smoking a cigarette and taking a break. Furthermore, it was revealed that he had purchased suspicious items two days before the incident, raising the possibility of a premeditated crime.
It was also discovered that Jang had been stalking a female colleague for the past year and had allegedly sexually assaulted her two days before the incident. Could Jang's twisted anger, cornered by his own crimes, have been directed at Tae-rin, who had no connection to him?
The bereaved family, who lost their precious daughter in an instant, sobbed, saying, "It must have been so painful for her. We miss our daughter so much."
'Curious Stories Y,' which uncovers the true face of Jang, who committed the coldest crime on a day that should have been warm for everyone, airs on Friday, the 15th, at 9 PM.
