Hollywood actor Bradley Cooper is set to join the cast of director Bong Joon-ho's upcoming animated film.
On May 12 (KST), the American media outlet Variety reported that Bradley Cooper, along with Dave Bautista, Ayo Edebiri, Werner Herzog, Rachel House, Finn Wolfhard, and Alex Jane Go, will provide voice acting for director Bong Joon-ho's new film, 'Ally'.
Bradley Cooper is a prominent Hollywood actor known for his roles in films such as 'The Hangover', 'Silver Linings Playbook', 'American Sniper', and the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' series.
Cooper's voice is already familiar to audiences in Korea. He received great love for voicing Rocket in the hit Marvel 'Guardians of the Galaxy' series. He also provided voice acting for the 2024 film 'IF'.
'Ally', director Bong Joon-ho's first animated film, tells the story of a piglet squid. The peaceful daily life of the protagonist, a piglet squid named 'Ally' who dreams of seeing the sun and appearing on TV, is suddenly threatened when an unidentified aircraft crashes into the sea. The characters are then swept into an unexpected grand adventure as they begin a journey toward the world above the surface.
Director Bong Joon-ho has been developing this project since 2019, and director Jason Yu, who directed 'Sleep', has joined as a co-writer.
'Ally' is aiming to complete production in the first half of next year.
