Actress Ki Eun-se has reportedly issued an apology after facing backlash for causing disturbances to neighbors during the remodeling of her detached house in Pyeongchang-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
A social media user, who recently shared that they are staying at their parents' home in Pyeongchang-dong, claimed, "An actress has been renovating for months, and construction vehicles have occupied the alleyway, making it difficult for even one car to pass through. The area is filled with construction waste and dust, and it hasn't been cleaned properly."
This person continued their criticism, stating, "The construction, which was initially supposed to end in mid-April, was pushed back to mid-May, and now they are changing their story, saying they don't know when it will end. Isn't this a sense of privilege, thinking that the sacrifices of those around you are a given just because you are a celebrity?" They also added, "I heard that a domestic company is providing sponsorship for the celebrity."
As the controversy grew, it was reported that Ki Eun-se's side immediately apologized to the neighbors. In a follow-up post, the social media user added, "I received an apology message from a representative for Ki Eun-se, and I received a promise that they would visit the site in person to improve the parking and waste disposal issues."
Previously, Ki Eun-se had shared the remodeling process of her Pyeongchang-dong home through her YouTube channel. In the video, she explained, "The construction is being significantly delayed due to replacing old facilities, and the costs have risen much higher than expected, putting me in a difficult situation."
