Actress Esom has shared her heartfelt thoughts on wrapping up the series 'Phantom Lawyer'.

On the 4th, Esom, who played the elite lawyer 'Han Na-hyun' in the 16-episode SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Phantom Lawyer' which concluded its run on the 2nd, expressed her gratitude to the viewers and shared her feelings on saying goodbye to her character through her agency, Management mmm.

Esom stated, "Thank you to the viewers who loved and stayed with 'Phantom Lawyer' for the past 8 weeks," adding, "Through this project, I was able to reflect once again on how important it is to listen to someone's story. I hope that message was well-conveyed to the viewers."

She continued, "I will return with a new project and a new character," asking fans to look forward to her future activities.

In the drama, Han Na-hyun was a bulldozer-like figure who chased only reason, facts, and winning cases, earning her the nickname 'Cold Na-hyun' early on. However, Esom brought depth to the character by delicately capturing the wounds and pain hidden behind her cold exterior through her nuanced gaze and expressions. In particular, the emotional arc involving the longing for her deceased sister, their reunion, and their eventual farewell moved viewers to tears, bolstered by Esom's restrained, powerful performance.

Her romantic chemistry also stood out. The witty banter she exchanged with her rival, Shin Yi-rang (played by Yoo Yeonseok), provided a delightful spark amidst the tension of the courtroom drama. By naturally portraying the process of them slowly falling for each other after a period of denying their feelings, she received a great response from the audience.

Having once again proven her broad acting spectrum through the drama, Esom is set to continue her busy career by returning to the big screen in the film 'Pamun', scheduled for release next year.

Meanwhile, the drama 'My Royal Nemesis', starring Lim Ji-yeon and Heo Nam-jun, will air starting on the 8th as the follow-up to 'Phantom Lawyer'.
