Actress Tang Wei (born 1979) has announced that she is pregnant with her second child, 12 years after marrying director Kim Tae-yong.
On the 29th, immediately after the news of her pregnancy broke, Tang Wei shared her feelings via social media. She stated, "It is a big surprise. Of course, I am very happy. There will be more laughter in our home. Everyone is looking forward to it. Thank you all for your interest."
Along with this message, she released a photo of her family holding toy horses together at a playground, which drew significant attention.
Previously, Chinese media outlets reported that rumors of a second pregnancy had emerged after Tang Wei recently attended a brand event in Shanghai, China. At the time, speculation spread as she was seen wearing loose clothing, and a silhouette that appeared to be a "baby bump" was captured.
Her agency confirmed the news, stating, "It is true that Tang Wei is pregnant with her second child. It is difficult to disclose the gender or the expected due date."
Tang Wei married director Kim Tae-yong, who is 10 years her senior and whom she met through the 2014 film 'Late Autumn', and welcomed her first daughter in 2016. Afterward, it was known that Tang Wei established a home in Bundang before moving to China. Even after her marriage, she has consistently continued her acting career, and in 2022, she received great acclaim both domestically and internationally for the film 'Decision to Leave'.
