Comedian Lee Su-ji has released a second installment of her "Kindergarten Teacher" content, delivering even sharper satire after her initial parody video sparked a social conversation regarding the hardships faced by educators.
In the episode titled "The Spring of Kindergarten Teacher Lee Min-ji," released on her YouTube channel on the 28th, Lee Su-ji transformed into the character 'Lee Min-ji' to portray even more intense situations. Through a day that spans outdoor activities, interactions with parents, classroom lessons, and unexpected incidents, she depicted the emotional labor and reality of teachers in a way that is both comedic and bittersweet.
In the video, teacher Lee Min-ji faces a complaint from a parent who claims she "gave the child a sense of defeat" by playing rock-paper-scissors with them. She is also placed in a situation where she must follow detailed medication instructions for a sick child who was sent to school anyway. Her inability to lose her smile in front of these "entitled parents" resonated deeply with viewers.
Additionally, scenes such as making every child finish in first place at a sports day for the sake of "emotional protection," and conducting outdoor activities quietly to avoid noise complaints, are highlighted as scenes that satirize the actual atmosphere in the field.
Many who watched the video reacted with comments such as, "This isn't a comedy, it's an investigative documentary," "I'm a teacher, and the reality is even worse," and "I truly relate to this," along with messages saying, "I support teachers across the country."
The video recorded approximately 1.2 million views within one day of its release and is spreading rapidly. Following the first part, which recorded approximately 5.8 million views and sparked a "Mom Cafe debate," the second part is also continuing to receive a heated response.
