Yuk Jung-wan Says He Is "Tasting Freedom for the First Time in 10 Years" As Wife and Child Visit Busan
You're My Destiny
Yuk Jung-wan couldn’t hide his grin with his wife out of town.

On the April 21 episode of SBS’ "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny," Yuk Jung-wan and his wife appeared as a new couple on the show in honor of their 10th wedding anniversary.

In the episode, Yuk beamed inside his empty home―cracking up and even sipping a morning beer. “My wife and our child went to Busan,” he said.

“I have to be careful when my wife’s around,” he added with a laugh. “She almost never goes away on her own. She’s been dedicating everything to our child, and because we live by the kid’s schedule, we can’t really leave the house. She used to be so free, but after our child was born, her maternal instinct exploded and she completely changed. Since she doesn’t go anywhere, I can’t either,” he said with a wry smile.

He continued that it’s his first real taste of freedom in 10 years. “We even moved to Mok-dong for our child’s education, and it feels a bit suffocating. It’s great for kids’ safety and schooling, but it doesn’t fit me. I used to soak up the freedom in Hongdae, but in Mok-dong it feels empty. I feel like I’m the odd one out.”
