On the April 12 episode of SBS’s "My Little Old Boy", Tak Jae-hoon and Heo Kyung-hwan step in as one-day driving instructors for the “license-only” driver HeeChul.
During a recent recording, HeeChul admitted he hasn’t driven in nearly two decades and even sold his car. So when he announced he wanted driving lessons, the studio’s attention locked in. Acting as his coaches, Tak and Heo looked uneasy, asking, “Do you even have your license with you?”
HeeChul, who said he’s barely driven since a serious traffic accident years ago, revealed a special reason for taking lessons again after 20 years. The unexpected motive shocked his mom watching from the studio, leaving her speechless. What pushed HeeChul to try driving again after all this time?
Tak and Heo prepared a custom training course just for him. But HeeChul was thrown by how much car tech has changed. As his quirky car knowledge and shaky skills showed, Tak and Heo clutched their seatbelts in panic―and eventually declared they were done with the lesson.
That’s when Shin Dong-yup joked, “I hope I never have to ride in a car HeeChul’s driving,” cracking up the studio. How good―or not―HeeChul’s driving really is will be revealed in the episode.
After that, the trio headed to a gas station. HeeChul barely squeezed through a narrow, dim entrance, breaking into a cold sweat. Faced with a self-serve pump, he was stunned by how different everything looked. Having to do the payment and fueling himself completely threw him off―and he made an unexpected mistake that sent Tak Jae-hoon into a fury.
What mistake set Tak off? HeeChul’s chaotic return-to-driving story airs Sunday, April 12 at 9 p.m. on "My Little Old Boy".
