Park Young-jin Revives His Wit with Ferragamo Shoe Mystery from Shin Dong-yup's Father's Funeral

Comedian Park Young-jin’s long-dormant quick wit came roaring back.

On April 6, the YouTube channel “Zzan Bro” featured Park Young-jin alongside fellow comedians Heo Kyung-hwan and Park Sung-kwang, and he did not hold back. Aiming a playful jab at Heo, Park said, “You’re doing great right now. I came in thinking today might be my last. I’m here for my last dance, so please keep pace with my beat,” setting the tone from the jump.

He then stole the room with a story about a “luxury shoe disappearance” he says happened four years ago at a funeral hall.

“After paying my respects at Shin Dong-yup’s father’s funeral, I came out and my shoes were gone,” Park recalled. “They were the only luxury item I’d bought after becoming a comedian―Ferragamo dress shoes. I waited over an hour but never found them, and I ended up going home in slippers my manager bought. I always wondered who walked out in my shoes. That manager told me, ‘Ahn Jae-wook left a little earlier, a bit tipsy.’” Park admitted he couldn’t help but suspect Ahn.

That led to an on-the-spot twist: MC Shin Dong-yup called his close friend Ahn Jae-wook then and there.

When Shin asked what happened, Ahn replied, “That’s impossible. I didn’t leave wearing someone else’s shoes, and I’ve never even bought Ferragamo shoes,” sounding baffled. Park carefully asked, “Are you sure you didn’t wear them by mistake?” before confessing, “Honestly, it bothered me for years. Even when I watched the drama ‘For Eagle Brothers’ that you were in, I kept checking your feet to see if you showed up wearing Ferragamo,” cracking everyone up.

Park added another twist: “The KBS president is also on my list of suspects. They arrived right before I did,” he said with a grin, then asked Shin, “Sorry, but can we check the guestbook from that day?” He wrapped it with a plea: “If anyone accidentally wore the shoes home, please return them. No questions asked.”

Known for the catchphrase “Then Who’s Going to Raise the Cow?” Park has focused more on radio than open comedy stages in recent years. But this appearance proved his improv and storytelling are still razor-sharp, sparking comments like “He’s basically a talk-show master,” “What took him so long?” and “The Ferragamo saga is legendary.”
