In Episode 6 of SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama "Phantom Lawyer" (written by Kim Ga-young and Kang Cheol-gyu, directed by Shin Joong-hoon), Shin I-rang (played by Yoo Yeon-seok) embraced his fate of seeing ghosts as a “stroke of luck” and vowed to deliver meaningful defenses as a “lawyer for the dead.” But the Episode 7 teaser hints at an unexpected shift for I-rang.
At the end of the last episode, I-rang sent off Jeon Sang-ho (played by Yoon Na-moo)―a genius scientist who even completed a cure for a rare disease―as he left for a better place, delivering a warm, emotional beat. Right after, a mysterious “sad chill” swept over I-rang. He sensed someone nearby, but saw nothing with his eyes.
In the Episode 7 teaser, I-rang cheers, “Long live independence!” and looks ready for a fresh start with a living, human client. Fans are now split: did the lingering spirits who pestered him vanish overnight, or did I-rang somehow lose his ability to see them? Individual talismans appear, yet no ghosts are visible―signaling a brand-new phase for "Phantom Lawyer".
The production team shared, “Whether I-rang has truly lost his ability to see ghosts, or a more powerful vengeful spirit is hiding itself, is another key point to watch in Episode 7,” adding, “The very moment he believes his gift is gone, he’ll face the paradox of a forced office shutdown―and the secret story lurking behind it.”
"Phantom Lawyer" airs Episode 7 today (the 3rd) at 9:50 p.m. KST.
