BTS just proved their power on Japan’s Oricon charts.

According to Oricon on April 1, BTS’s new track “SWIM” hit No. 1 on the Weekly Streaming Ranking (issue dated April 6, tally period March 23?29). The song jumped from No. 27 last week to the top spot in one leap, showing major streaming strength in its second week.

This marks BTS’s sixth No. 1 on that chart overall―the most ever for an international act―surpassing their own previous record. They’ve topped the chart before with “Dynamite,” “Film Out,” “Butter,” “Permission to Dance,” and “Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment).”

“SWIM” also placed No. 2 on the Weekly Digital Single Ranking. Their fifth full-length album “ARIRANG” ranked No. 2 on the Weekly Digital Album Ranking, and No. 3 on both the Weekly Album Ranking and the Weekly Combined Album Ranking, holding strong in the top tier for a second straight week. The results show solid performance in both digital and physical formats, with steady fandom support and broad public appeal in Japan.

Global momentum is continuing. “SWIM” debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, becoming the team’s seventh No. 1 there. Their fifth studio album “ARIRANG” also landed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking a return to simultaneously topping both charts after roughly six years. In Brazil, “SWIM” went straight to No. 1 on the Hot 100, becoming the first international song to top the chart since its revamp.
