I-DLE stopped by U.S. radio and delivered candid banter plus a live medley that lit up the studio.
The group appeared in an interview video released on the March 24 episode of 102.7 KIIS FM’s hit show "iHeart KPOP with JoJo," chatting with host and actor JoJo Wright. Asked if the time difference was tough, YUQI joked, “We’re used to flying all the time. That’s the life of a superstar,” drawing laughs.
When asked about a new album, they confirmed it’s “in the works” and then dropped the bombshell: “We’ve already finished recording every track.” They added, “It won’t take as long as you think. It’s coming soon, so please look forward to it,” hinting their comeback is just around the corner.
They also shared a tour story. Looking back on their 2024 world tour, the members said, “SOYEON and YUQI once fought in Tacoma, U.S. We still call it the ‘Tacoma Battle,’” making everyone laugh.
YUQI recalled, “I remember it clearly. I was greeting fans and didn’t realize the other members had already left. SOYEON came to get me and said, ‘Let’s go,’ but I didn’t hear her. It was nothing serious, but we were all on edge from touring, jet lag, and fatigue. Now it’s something we can laugh about. We’re like family―that happens,” she said, emphasizing their solid teamwork.
On how they stay connected with fans, the members shared, “We search our names every day―honestly, almost every second. It’s important to see audience reactions to our performances. Whether it’s criticism or praise, it all helps. Constantly checking feedback is part of our job.” They added, “When we feel we did well and see comments like ‘You’re born superstars,’ it gives us so much strength. It reassures us we did a good job.”
That day, I-DLE performed a live hit medley including "Queencard", "TOMBOY," and "Mono (Feat. skaiwater)," earning a roaring response from local fans. “We feel huge energy at every show. The energy we get from fans helps us lock in onstage,” they said, giving a shoutout to their global fandom, Neverland.
I-DLE are continuing their global schedule with back-to-back appearances on major U.S. TV and radio shows, including NBC’s "The Today Show" and "The Kelly Clarkson Show." On July 31 (local time), they’ll hit the stage at Lollapalooza in Chicago’s Grant Park, followed by a North American arena tour.
