YUNA of ITZY drops her solo debut album and title track "Ice Cream" on March 23.
At 6 p.m. today, she unveils her first solo mini album, "Ice Cream", becoming ITZY’s second soloist after YEJI. Since debuting with ITZY in 2019, YUNA has stood out with her lovely energy and presence. With this solo run, she’s set to carve out a fresh artistic identity and expand her range.
Title track "Ice Cream" is an ultra-catchy bubblegum pop cut with a message: don’t miss this sweet, melting moment―enjoy it. The music video is directed by Yoon Seung-rim of Rigend Film and spotlights YUNA’s visuals and performance.
The mini includes a range of tracks: “B-Boy,” with a free-spirited vibe; “Blue Maze,” which captures a dreamy kind of love; and “Hyper Dream,” a high-impact song inviting listeners to leap into a world of dreams.
As ITZY’s youngest member, YUNA is expected to ride the momentum of “THAT’S A NO NO,” which recently blew up on social media. The track is a B-side from ITZY’s 2020 mini 2nd album "IT’z ME," and its performance first premiered during the "ITZY 3RD WORLD TOUR: TUNNEL VISION" in February to a fiery response. Interest continued online, fueling a climb back up the charts, and ITZY recently showcased the stage on Mnet’s "M Countdown."
Ahead of the 6 p.m. release on the 23rd, YUNA will host a 5 p.m. countdown live to celebrate her solo debut with MIDZY (fandom name) around the world.
