Singer-producer J.Y. Park is going viral after dropping a cover dance to ITZY’s resurgent track “THAT’S A NO NO.”
Park recently posted a clip on his social media nailing the “THAT’S A NO NO” choreography. He delivered an intense performance―his T-shirt soaked through―showing he’s still got razor-sharp lines. He added the message, “Sweat doesn’t lie.”
The post appears to celebrate ITZY’s “THAT’S A NO NO” dance practice video hitting No. 1 on YouTube’s Popular Music Videos daily chart in Korea.
The reactions from his label’s artists drew even more attention. ITZY’s YEJI commented, “I’ll devote myself to JYP. Thank you, PD-nim.” Chaeryeong, Yuna, and Lia also chimed in with, “So touched,” “Seems like sweat really doesn’t lie,” and “Thank you.” The group’s official account dropped heart emojis in support.
ITZY’s “THAT’S A NO NO,” a track from their 2020 mini album “IT’z ME,” has recently been rediscovered through their “TUNNEL VISION” world tour, sparking a reverse-charting surge. The choreography practice video topping YouTube’s domestic Popular Music Videos daily chart underscores the heat around the song.
The track’s streaming numbers are climbing, too. On the Melon daily chart, it jumped from the 900s to near the Top 100, showing a steep rise. Riding the momentum, ITZY has returned to music show stages, continuing an unusual reverse-charting run.
ITZY marks its 7th debut anniversary this year, and all members renewed contracts with their agency last year.
Member YUNA will release her first solo album, “Ice Cream,” on the 23rd and begin solo activities.
