I-DLE’s YUQI just proved her star power across Greater China.
YUQI was named to Tencent Music’s “Women of the Year in Music 2026.”
Under the theme “Where She Stands, There Is Light,” she was recognized as one of the female artists who delivered standout results on Tencent Music’s platforms and in China’s music market throughout 2025.
Tencent Music highlighted “vitality” as YUQI’s keyword, noting, “She participated in writing and composing every track on her debut single ‘MOTIVATION,’ showcasing her talent as a next-generation female singer-songwriter. The title track ‘M.O.’ not only hit No. 1 in Korea but also performed strongly in China.”
Her impact shows up in the numbers. On Tencent Music’s Korean Chart, YUQI logged 147 entries and 122 Top 20 placements. She also took Tencent Music Korean Chart’s Artist of the Year, Solo Artist of the Year, Song of the Year (“FREAK”), and EP/Single of the Year (“Motivation”) for 2025.
YUQI’s solo tracks “Radio (Dum-Dum)” and “FREAK” both earned Gold certification on Tencent Music. In particular, her March 2025 digital single “Radio (Dum-Dum)” stayed in the Top 10 of Tencent Music’s Korean Chart for 50 consecutive weeks after release and continues to break its own records weekly.
YUQI also drew attention for singing “Magic Together,” the theme song for Shanghai Disneyland’s 10th anniversary.
I-DLE met local fans at “2026 I-DLE WORLD TOUR [Syncopation] IN TAIPEI” at Taipei Dome on March 7. They are the first K-pop girl group to perform at Taipei Dome, and tickets sold out immediately after going on sale.
