Dongho (Shin Dongho, 31), a former member of U-KISS, is locked in a messy back-and-forth with his ex-wife, who says she’s raising their 9-year-old son alone and claims he hasn’t paid child support. She posted shocking KakaoTalk messages to back up her allegations.
On February 25, his ex-wife, identified as A, wrote on her social media that Dongho repeatedly cheated during their marriage and has not sent child support since the divorce.
“He didn’t send even 1,000 won in child support but bought luxury items for a woman at a Japanese bar. For 11 years, I’ve taken care of my aging, ailing mother and my poor son all by myself,” she said.
She also uploaded KakaoTalk messages containing lines such as, “You can make a bar girl behave with money,” and “I should hand him three condoms,” and further claimed, “He said he would push our son to buy sex.”
Dongho responded on social media: “I never cheated, and the claims about visitation, child support, and abuse are all false. I plan to file a criminal complaint for spreading false information and defamation.” He added, “We’re just ordinary people―take responsibility for dragging a private family matter into the public when no one asked.”
Dongho debuted with U-KISS in 2008 at age 15 and left the group in 2013, citing health reasons. In October 2015, he married a non-celebrity one year older than him at age 21, welcomed a son the following year, and divorced in 2018 after three years of marriage.
