NOWZ kicked off their Japan debut countdown at midnight on the 24th, unveiling concept photos for the new song “AMMO (feat. YRD Leo)” from their first Japanese EP, NOWZ, via their official social channels.
The images spotlight a hard-edged transformation that matches the title “AMMO.” Against a dark factory backdrop, the members pull off detailed suede jackets and bold accessories, radiating a new kind of charisma. It’s a 180 from the sweet love song “HOOKED,” released on the 6th, and it’s ramping up anticipation.
“AMMO (feat. YRD Leo)” carries a message about pushing forward without being swayed or rebelling against outside noise―turning both criticism and support into fuel. Rising rapper YRD Leo, a favorite among Japan’s Gen Z, features on the track, completing a special synergy with NOWZ.
The Japanese EP NOWZ shares its name with the group and includes “AMMO (feat. YRD Leo)” plus Japanese versions of NOWZ’s fan-favorite tracks released last year: “HomeRUN,” “GET BUCK,” “Run with me,” and “Fly to the Youth (Feat. YUQI).”
Fresh off winning the “Blooming Star Award” at the Hanteo Music Awards 2025, NOWZ will meet local fans with mini live shows and special events across Tokyo starting March 4, the day of the release. On March 28, they’ll hold their first fan concert, “Run with me, NOW,” at Myeonghwa Live Hall in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul―keeping up a 5th-generation rookie pace across Korea and Japan.
