BLACKPINK is celebrating their third mini album [DEADLINE] with a culture-meets-pop crossover that gives global fans a one-of-a-kind experience.
According to YG Entertainment on the 12th, BLACKPINK will unveil the “National Museum of Korea x BLACKPINK” project from the 26th through the 8th of next month. It’s a standout collaboration between a group that’s written K-pop history and Korea’s flagship museum―joined by global audio and streaming platform Spotify as an official partner.
During the run, a lighting event will bathe the National Museum of Korea’s exterior in signature pink, symbolizing BLACKPINK and the project. The members will also serve as audio docents for eight representative artifacts, guiding visitors through Korean cultural heritage.
At the Gwanggaeto Stele in the main lobby area known as the “Path of History,” a full listening session of all tracks from the third mini album will take place. Some sessions will be specially operated for Spotify Premium users. Pre-listening begins a day before release―on the 19th at 8 p.m.―for those who apply through Naver Reservation when it opens. Starting at 2 p.m. on the 27th, after the album drops, anyone can join during museum hours.
BLACKPINK is the first K-pop artist to launch an official large-scale collaboration with the National Museum of Korea. By bridging music and cultural heritage, the project is expected to captivate not only the global fandom but also the culture sector and the general public.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s third mini album [DEADLINE] arrives at 2 p.m. on the 27th. The five tracks include the title song “GO,” the pre-release “JUMP,” “Me and my,” “Champion,” and “Fxxxboy.” YG previously shared that, true to its title, [DEADLINE] is filled with “the best, irreversible moments” and “BLACKPINK’s brightest present.”
