On the February 10 episode of the SBS variety show "Whenever Possible", co-MCs Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok team up with comedians Song Eun-yi and Kim Sook to visit “Gap” regulars in Sangam-dong and deliver a feel-good dopamine boost.
Song Eun-yi and Kim Sook are Yoo Jae-suk’s self-proclaimed besties of 30 years. When Yoo greets Song with a playful nickname, she fires back with her trademark bold humor, while Kim cracks, “In the morning, I’m ZO ZAZZ. In the evening, I’m Jeon Hyun-moo,” sparking big laughs. Seeing their effortless confidence, Yoo Yeon-seok jokes they look like a head writer and a second writer running the show. The duo instantly flips into a classic variety sketch and roped Yoo Yeon-seok right in. Soon, even he gets swept up by the relentless gag energy of “the three comedian seniors” ― Yoo Jae-suk, Song Eun-yi, and Kim Sook ― trying out trendy catchphrases and even calling Kim Sook “hyung,” which brings the house down.
In a standout moment, Song Eun-yi spills on Yoo Jae-suk’s rookie days. “Back when he was up for a rookie award, he bought not one but two ‘Dol*e & Gabbana’ suits ― and then didn’t win,” she says, revisiting the Nation’s MC’s past. Yoo admits, “I really struggled paying off those installments,” prompting Song to add, “Luck just never seemed to follow you,” drawing sympathetic laughs. She also shares, “I finally won my first Top Excellence Award in 33 years the other day, and Sook burst into tears,” spotlighting the friends’ tight bond.
With his 30-year besties in the building, Yoo Jae-suk’s competitive streak flares. “I’m going to show you how it’s done this time,” he declares before a game. But his opponents know every move ― they’ve watched him play for decades. Song Eun-yi shoots back, “Show us what? Your front teeth?” serving up peak bestie banter.
