The Feb. 8 episode of SBS’s Running Man scored a 2.6% 2049 rating in the Seoul capital area based on Nielsen Korea household data, ranking No. 1 in its time slot and across all Sunday variety. Household ratings climbed to 4.6% week over week, marking the show’s best 2049 and household numbers of 2026. The peak minute rating hit 5.5%.
The episode revealed results from last week’s “Age Notice Survival,” along with the poster shoot and the on-air rating notice filming.
As a signature race, it was fiercely competitive ― and Yoo Jae-suk took the final win, leading to very different costume fates for each member. Ji Ye-eun, who earned the first official poster, cracked viewers up with a Ddochi look evoking “bones.” Ji Seok-jin stole scenes as a half-human, half-beast version of Dooly’s grandpa. Kim Jong-kook suited up as “Muscle Hee-dong,” and Song Ji-hyo transformed into “Douner.”
Meanwhile, HAHA ultimately turned into “Yungdeokjeong,” his own mother persona. The so-called “Antenna” duo, Yoo Jae-suk and Yang Se-chan, became “Squid Planet Princes.” As a small perk for the winner, Yoo Jae-suk received prince props, while Yang Se-chan got “beggar” props ― delivering big laughs to the very end. High-res solo and group poster cuts are available on Running Man’s official social media.
After the poster shoot, the “Game of 2” race kicked off with guests Hong Jin-ho and MIMI of OH MY GIRL. Tapped as team leaders, the two boosted anticipation from the start with their trademark pronunciation quirks, which truly shined in the pre-mission “2 Listening Test.” Team members had to listen to passages read by their leaders and guess the correct answers, but the tricky diction threw everyone off. In the chaos, only Ji Ye-eun nailed the “MIMI language,” turning in a standout performance.
After a betrayal-filled, neck-and-neck race, Hong Jin-ho won, and Kim Jong-kook was confirmed for the penalty. He ended up getting his forehead hit once each by the production team and winner Hong Jin-ho ― a truly humbling moment.
