Min Hee-jin, the former CEO of ADOR, is turning up the heat on what she describes as a coordinated “reverse-viral” smear, sharing a pointed update on social media.
On Jan. 19, Min posted a photo from a meeting with her U.S.-based attorney tied to ongoing litigation involving TAG PR, writing that she received “excellent, practical advice” and heard firsthand how American artists currently suing TAG PR are responding. “The pieces are falling into place,” she added. “I’ll have more to share soon.”
Min has previously suggested that TAG PR―the U.S. firm HYBE acquired and later sold―may have been involved in efforts to damage her reputation amid her high-profile dispute with HYBE. She has said she noticed “odd activity” once the conflict spilled overseas.
In a past interview, Min recalled being contacted by a Billboard journalist who wanted to verify “a strange tip” and, when pressed on the source, allegedly cited “TAG PR.” She also said she later learned through media reports that her name was mentioned in a lawsuit involving a Hollywood actor.
Recent coverage in U.S. outlets noted that a court has allowed limited discovery related to TAG PR, including depositions of employees and subpoenas for documents tied to an anonymous defamation website.
HYBE, for its part, has consistently pushed back, saying the matter stems from a legal dispute unrelated to HYBE or HYBE America and that the allegations cited in the complaint do not involve either entity.
Separately, rulings are pending in Min’s court battles with HYBE over termination of a shareholders’ agreement and a stock purchase claim related to a put option.
