After nearly four years, BTS is back with a global release―and they’re calling it “ARIRANG.”
At midnight on the 16th, the group unveiled the title of their fifth studio album via Weverse. Due out March 20, the set features 14 tracks and takes its name from “Arirang,” the beloved Korean folk song, instantly signaling a return to the group’s cultural roots.
“ARIRANG” is a banner for BTS’s identity and the emotions they want to share with fans. With their long-awaited comeback, the septet turned inward―back to their foundation, origin story, and inner lives. As a group born in Korea, they’ve woven themes of longing and profound love into the music, using “Arirang” as a symbolic lens for the album’s spirit and their core identity.
From the beginning, BTS has built its discography on candid reflections of the members’ experiences and beliefs―an authenticity that forged a deep bond with listeners and became the engine of their success. Centering universal emotions like yearning and deep affection, the new album is poised to resonate far beyond language and borders.
BTS will launch a new world tour on April 9 at Goyang Sports Complex. Spanning 79 shows across 34 cities, it marks the most dates for a K-pop act to date. With additional stops in Japan and the Middle East to be announced, the trek is set to grow even larger. The group will also hit multiple stadiums in the U.S.―including El Paso, Foxborough, Arlington, and Baltimore―with immersive 360-degree staging planned to turn each night into a full-on spectacle.
