On the January 13 episode of SBS’s "Whenever Possible", the two appeared together as special guests.
Kwon shared that he and Moon had already caught a technical screening of their film "Heartman". “We both walked out thrilled,” he said. “In my heart, it’s already a hit.”
He added, “I feel great about it, and we’re confident. But audiences decide in the end, so we’re going all-in on promo”―explaining why they’d dropped by the show.
Now 50, Kwon reflected on aging with a laugh. “Turning 40 felt strangely empty for a minute. Hitting 50, though, I feel more open and less hung up on things,” he said.
Still, he admitted the box office is one thing he does care about, hoping hard for a win. Yoo Yeon-seok chimed in, “Same here―I want my game to be a hit,” cracking up the table.
The group decided who’d pick up the lunch tab by letting an AI make the call―and it cleanly chose Kwon. “Thanks for the meal, Sang-woo,” Yoo Jae-suk joked, as Kwon quipped back, “Hey, I’m the guy who buys Yoo Jae-suk dinner,” earning a grin from the host.
Afterward, the foursome hit a gelato cafe―where Kwon paid again. Yoo Yeon-seok teased that Kwon was simply “built different.”
Talking about working together, Moon smiled and said, “The first celebrity I ever had a crush on was Kwon Sang-woo.” Kwon, touched, replied, “Hearing that alone means a lot.”
Yoo Jae-suk then noted he’d heard Kwon’s recent catchphrase has been “Or not?”―a sign he’s forever checking the room. Asked what his wife, actress Son Tae-young, says most, Kwon laughed: “She’s an ‘Anyway…’ person,” explaining he’s the cautious type while she’s the one who wraps things up―classic married-life dynamics.
When the table turned to Yoo Jae-suk, he admitted his wife, Na Kyung-eun, often asks, “Did you hear what I just said?” He joked that when he asks, “So do I actually get a choice here?” the inevitable answer is, “Do whatever you want,” which Kwon translated for the husbands’ club: “That means get permission first,” sending everyone into stitches.
A teaser for next week promised high energy as NMIXX’s HAEWON and SULLYOON drop by as the newest “gap friends,” ready to run circles around the Yoo duo.
