On the Jan. 9 episode of SBS’ reality show “Manager Seojin”, the team took on manager duties for IVE’s ANYUJIN―and even linked up with other IVE members, including JANGWONYOUNG, sending Kim into full-on fanboy mode.
When Lee Seo-jin mentioned he and JANGWONYOUNG share a brand tie, she playfully corrected him with a generational wink: “We usually say ambassador,” cracking everyone up.
JANGWONYOUNG then put in a festive request: “It’s Christmas, so I’m craving strawberry shortcake.” The crew fretted it might be sold out, but she teased back, “Use your judgment,” testing their problem-solving skills.
Other members asked for a specific treat: a chewy chocolate cookie from Dubai that everyone obsess over in Korea. The team set off to find it, only to return with standard chocolate cookies―cue collective disappointment.
Kim, meanwhile, doted on JANGWONYOUNG, then joked about where his loyalties lie: “My star is YUJIN, but I must’ve thought I was managing all of IVE. Still, she’s part of the group―so we’re all in this together.”
To comfort YUJIN, who was craving Korean food, Kim cooked for her himself. “The moment I walked in, it smelled like my mom’s cooking. I was so touched,” she said.
“Never thought I’d be spending Christmas with these two,” YUJIN added, wrapping the night with her “big uncle and little uncle.”
Kim cherished the memory too: “From now on, whenever I see YUJIN, I’ll think, ‘That’s our YUJIN who loved my pork ribs,’” he said with a smile.
Lee Seo-jin summed up his caretaker shift simply: “It felt like looking after my niece.”
As for YUJIN’s final scorecard? “Fun gets a perfect 100. If we’re talking strictly about on-the-job skills… maybe we wouldn’t do this again,” she teased. “But when the SBS Gayo Daejeon roll around, I’ll definitely think of you.”
