Actor Nam Joo-hyuk has signed an exclusive contract with Fable Company.
Announcing the move on Thursday morning, Fable Company praised Nam as “an actor who has steadily expanded his range across a wide spectrum of genres,” adding that they’re thrilled to work with a star who refuses to be boxed into one image and keeps evolving his craft.
Fable Company’s roster also includes Choi Woo-shik, Jeon So-nee, Park Yeon-woo, and Hong Min-gi.
Nam made his acting debut in 2014 with the series "The Idle Mermaid" and quickly turned heads with his fresh, boy-next-door charm. He landed his first lead in "Who Are You: School 2015," which boosted his mainstream profile and earned him multiple newcomer and popularity trophies. He continued that momentum on the big screen with his film debut "The Great Battle." picking up several rookie awards and cementing his early breakout status.
He has since built a sturdy resume across buzzy titles like "Cheese in the Trap," "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo," "eightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo," "Start-Up," and more, and films "The Great Battle" and "Josée," jumping between genres with ease. He drew deep empathy with his lyrical performance in "The Light in Your Eyes" and became a bona fide youth icon with the hit "Twenty-Five Twenty-One."
After enlisting, Nam returned to the spotlight in Disney+’s "Vigilante", embracing a darker edge and heavy-duty action that showcased a tougher, more nuanced side―proof of his growing range with each project.
Nam completed his active-duty service last year. He’s set to make his comeback this year with the Netflix series "Donggung" (working title).
