The ceremony, broadcast live from SBS Prism Tower in Seoul on Dec. 31 at 8:50 p.m. KST, saw the pair win the Top Excellence Award in the Human Fantasy Miniseries category for their work on Haunted Palace.
Accepting first, Yook opened with a message to fans: “For 13 years, you’ve been my confidence wherever I go. To Melody and everyone who’s cheered for me the same way from the start―thank you. I’m not always the best with words, but I want to say I love you to the fans who helped me bring home this incredible award.”
He went on to thank the Haunted Palace team―producers, crew, and cast―adding, “I’ll keep working hard and keep learning. Please keep putting actor Yook Sungjae to good use.”
Kim Ji-yeon first thanked the viewers who embraced Haunted Palace. “Because of the genre, filming wasn’t easy,” she said. “But it was such a happy, grateful experience that it made me forget how tough it was.” She credited the production and crew for their efforts.
She also thanked her family, friends, and fans. “This award feels more than I deserve, and I’m grateful. I’ll take this good energy and work even harder to repay you with strong projects and performances.”
