At the 2025 SBS Entertainment Awards, broadcast live from SBS Prism Tower in Seoul’s Mapo District at 8:50 p.m. on the 30th, Yoo Yeon-seok picked up the Male Excellence Award in the Show/Variety category.
“I honestly felt like just taking the Best Couple award with Jae-suk hyung made the night worth it,” Yoo said onstage, referencing Yoo Jae-suk. “So getting a big honor like this on top of that―I’m surprised and so grateful.”
He admitted he was anxious early on about starting "Whenever Possible," the SBS variety series he co-stars in. “At first, I worried whenever we had a spare moment about whether I could really do well,” he shared. “But meeting our Whenever Possible ‘owners’ and ‘friends’ every week, and watching Jae-suk hyung lead the way, filming has been nothing but fun.”
Yoo also shouted out the production team and the people featured on the show. “We visit everyday citizens to bring a little joy into the ‘gaps’ in their day―and even hand out gifts. Without our Whenever Possible owners and Whenever Possible friends, the show wouldn’t be this loved.”
He closed by thanking his agency staff and fans, and reflecting on the show’s Korean title―teum-man-na-myeon. “I kept thinking about what a ‘teum’―a gap―really means in life. A gap isn’t a failure; it’s space to breathe. The ‘gaps’ we all have aren’t shortcomings. They’re places where we can step closer to one another. Being part of a program that finds those moments and delivers a little happiness means the world to me.”
