Rapper-singer MC Mong, 46, took to TikTok Live to deny affair allegations involving P_Arc Group chair Cha Ga-won, 43, calling the claims fabricated fallout from a power struggle over label Big Planet Made (BPM).
On the stream, MC Mong said he founded BPM and alleged that “retaliatory, false accusations” surfaced during a dispute over control. He outlined what he described as the company’s stake split: Cha holding more than 50%, with himself and producer Park Jang-geun each in the 20% range, and one of Cha’s relatives holding about 10%.
He claimed that the chair’s relative pressured him to pool his shares with theirs and Park’s to force Cha out―pressure he says he refused―after which the affair rumor began to spread. “We argued a lot, but there was nothing romantic,” he said, adding that Cha is a mother and “the affair narrative doesn’t even apply.”
Addressing the widely circulated KakaoTalk screenshots, MC Mong insisted the texts were stitched together and that some lines were things he wrote under duress to fend off threats. “Those messages were re-edited to read like a romance and turned into articles,” he said.
He also shared portions of bank records. According to MC Mong, he wasn’t receiving money from Cha; he says he sent tens of billions of won to keep the company afloat. Regarding reports about 12 billion, he said it wasn’t a loan or debt but the remaining balance under a stock-transfer agreement. “There’s no lawsuit, no asset seizure,” he said, pushing back on coverage that framed it as a default.
Wrapping up the live, MC Mong said he had spoken directly with news outlets and didn’t expect further stories. He vowed to identify who “deliberately fabricated” the texts. “If I stay silent, people believe it,” he said, explaining why he addressed the issue even on Christmas. He added that he hopes artists under BPM and ONE HUNDRED Label aren’t harmed by the controversy.
In July, MC Mong stepped back from his duties at ONE HUNDRED Label and announced plans to study abroad, saying he would pause music activities to focus on his health and personal growth.
