On the December 22 episode of SBS’ “Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny,” the pair met Lee’s beloved junior, model Jin Jung-sun, and her fiancé, Park Jae-yeon.
Lee got emotional even before the introductions and burst into tears, cracking everyone up. Jin and Park, caught off guard by her over-the-top reaction, looked visibly flustered.
Panelist Seo Jang-hoon joked, “Imagine meeting someone from TV for the first time and they’re already crying―how shocked must he be?” Lee shot back, “He’ll be fine. I cry on TV all the time,” sending the studio into laughter.
Once she composed herself, Lee sized up Jin’s fiancé: “He’s really handsome―like an actor. Who does he resemble?”
Jin chimed in, “I’m a fan of Ju Ji-hoon, and he kind of looks like him. Maybe a little like Park Seo-joon, too.”
Lee and her husband agreed, laughing, “We see it―a fairer Ju Ji-hoon, a softer Park Seo-joon.” Jin added, “If you catch him mid-run, you can totally see it. But to me, he’s the most handsome, period.”
The couple, both born in 1995, revealed they were classmates in the modeling department at Hanlim Arts High School and have been dating for three years.
Jin shared how they got together: “A close friend was always worried because I kept picking the wrong guys. Around the same time, that friend saw Jae-yeon in a similarly messy relationship and said, ‘You two should just date each other―it’ll be easier on everyone.’ It’s sad, but we’re similar in temperament, so it made sense.”
Lee, ever the protective unni, asked point-blank, “Be honest―are you a pushover?” Park replied, “I’m not.” Jin teased, “Which basically means… he is,” earning a big laugh.
Lee continued in full “mom mode”: “As someone who cares a lot about Jung-sun―she’s so kind she gets taken advantage of―I hoped she’d meet someone really steady and assertive. If both of you are too nice, I worry you’ll get walked all over.”
Looking a bit tense, Park laid out his plans. He explained he’d run a cafe for six to seven years since his early twenties and is now preparing to launch a food venture: “I’m opening a snack shop in Seongsu-dong. I’ve saved up so I can start without taking on debt.” The concrete plan visibly reassured Lee.
Later in the episode, Lee proved her big-sister credentials by organizing a wedding dress tour and a venue tour for the bride-to-be, wrapping the meeting on a heartwarming note.
