Comedian Park Mi-sun, 58, shared the moment she shaved her head amid breast cancer treatment, offering comfort and courage to fans following her journey.

On Dec. 7, Park uploaded a new entry in her illness vlog series on her YouTube channel. The video calmly traces two weeks―from the exact day her hair began to fall out, 14 days after her first round of chemotherapy, to the decision to shave it off.

“They call it the 14-day rule, and sure enough, like clockwork, my hair started falling out two weeks after my first chemo,” she wrote in the description. “When else would I get to shave my head? I wanted to document it. To everyone fighting an illness right now, I’m cheering you on.”

Ahead of her second treatment, Park visited a salon to cut her hair short and spoke candidly about how she was feeling. “Before round two, I figured the shedding would be exhausting, so I decided to just cut it. Going from a bob to a crop was the moment it hit me―okay, I’m really sick,” she admitted, while keeping her trademark humor intact.

Expecting her appetite to dip, she dug into what she jokingly called a “last supper”: a homemade burger. After round two, Park frankly described fatigue and a weakened immune system, but she also showed herself rebuilding a daily rhythm―taking walks around her neighborhood and catching a showing of "Captain America."

When she returned to the salon for a full shave, Park looked in the mirror and quipped to her daughter, “Don’t I look like Furiosa from 'Mad Max'? I should try it sometime,” proving she hasn’t lost her quick wit.

Alongside the upload, Park posted a message on social media. She admitted she’d grown more cautious after getting sick, but said hearing that many found comfort in her story prompted her to keep sharing. “I hope even a few people feel stronger after watching. To everyone who’s ill or going through a tough time: this will pass. Stay strong.”

Park was diagnosed with breast cancer and stepped back from television earlier this year. Throughout her treatment, her husband Lee Bong-won, along with their daughter and son, have remained by her side.
