SBS confirmed the fan-favorite 2024 series will return in 2026 with director Kim Jae-hong and writer Kim Bada back at the helm. The creative duo will rebuild the show’s slick universe, with Ahn and Jung headlining to deliver more high-energy, crowd-pleasing fun.
The new season of "Flex X Cop" follows a spoiled third-generation chaebol who became a detective and isn’t afraid to use money and connections to take down criminals. The series carved out a devoted fandom within SBS’ lineup of punchy, justice-served hits like "Taxi Driver," "The Fiery Priest," "One Dollar Lawyer" and "One the Woman," earning an early Season 2 greenlight right after its first finale. With SBS’ season-based dramas on a roll―led by "Taxi Driver 3"―anticipation is high for "Flex X Cop 2" to keep the momentum going.
In Season 2, Jin Yi-soo returns to Violent Crimes Unit 1 after completing formal training at the police academy. But things get messy fast when his former “devil” drill instructor, Joo Hye-ra, transfers in as the team’s new leader―setting up a gloriously chaotic partnership.
Ahn Bo-hyun reprises his role as Jin Yi-soo, the party-loving chaebol heir-turned-parachuted rookie cop who weaponizes his wealth, elite network, quick thinking, and a lifetime of extreme hobbies to chase down bad guys―a young, rich hero built for cathartic wins. From his blinged-out fits to that now-viral “tanghulu” candy-skewer hairstyle and a maddening-yet-lovable charm, fans are eager to see what he brings to Round 2.
Joining him as his new partner-in-crime-fighting is Jung Eun-chae. After her film debut in "Haunters," Jung proved her range in "The Guest," "Pachinko," "Anna" and "Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born," cementing her status as a bankable scene-stealer. She plays Joo Hye-ra, a former National Police Agency counterterror ace who volunteers to lead Gangha Police Station’s Violent Crimes Unit 1―becoming Yi-soo’s direct boss. Watching the pair evolve from drill instructor and trainee to reluctant partners will be a key draw.
