NCT’s DOYOUNG has lined up a parting gift for fans, dropping a two-track single, "Promise", just one day after beginning his mandatory military service.
"Promise" arrives Dec. 9 at 6 p.m. KST across Melon, Flo and Genie, as well as global platforms including iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify. A physical release lands the same day, with online and in-store preorders already underway since Dec. 1.
The single features the title track "Promise" and "Whistle," which includes a guest turn from BELLE of KISS OF LIFE. Crafted as a sincere message to the supporters who’ve backed him throughout his career, the project distills DOYOUNG’s gratitude into two intimate cuts.
Over the past few years, DOYOUNG has expanded his solo palette, delivering his first studio album, "YOUTH," in 2024 and the follow-up, "Soar," in 2025―threading themes of youth, growth and dreams through his signature, emotive storytelling.
He also completed two successful solo tours, showcasing powerhouse vocals, commanding stage presence and global pull―further cementing his status as one of K-pop’s premier vocalists.
DOYOUNG has matched his onstage momentum with philanthropy: he donated 100 million KRW on World Children’s Day last November to support kids’ health, then contributed another 100 million KRW in October to improve educational environments, saying he hoped to give back some of the love he’s received from fans worldwide.
The singer enlisted in the Republic of Korea Army on Dec. 8. His discharge is slated for June 7, 2027.
