During the recent filming of episode 7 of SBS Life's 'Queen of Taste Kim Nam-joo', Kim shared a story from the past when she and her family were in Hawaii for her children's summer school.
Kim Nam-joo said, "After a day's schedule, when the kids went to bed, my husband (Kim Seung-woo) and I would go out to the balcony to have a drink." She continued, "There was this popular club in front of our place, so we decided to check it out. You know how you get a bit bold after a few drinks. But when we got there, they told us no shorts allowed, so my husband had to go back home and change into pants before we could return to the club."
"Once we tried again, they asked me for my ID. My husband said, 'She's my wife,' but they still said 'No.' So, we had to go back home again to get my ID. Finally, on our third attempt, we got in and saw all the stylish people of Hawaii gathered there," she added, eliciting laughter with the story of their eventual club entry.
Kim Nam-joo expressed, "Memories of Hawaii are truly wonderful. Back then, Hawaii wasn't as expensive as it is now. The cost of living has skyrocketed. It's too expensive now. We can't afford to go anymore."
In addition to this, episode 7 of 'Queen of Taste Kim Nam-joo', which will reveal Kim Nam-joo's quick and easy cooking set and her favorite restaurants, is set to air on Thursday at 8:40 PM. Ahead of the broadcast, the same content will be available on Kim Nam-joo's YouTube channel at 11:45 AM on the same day.
