Among this summer's tentpole films, the one with the heftiest budget of approximately $21 million, 'Omniscient Reader: The Prophet', has unveiled intriguing character posters and a teaser trailer.

'Omniscient Reader: The Prophet' is a fantasy action movie where the world of a novel, which has been serialized for over a decade, becomes reality on the day it concludes. The story follows 'Kim Dokja', the novel's sole reader, who, along with the novel's protagonist 'Yoo Joonghyuk' and their allies, strives to survive in a world that has fallen into ruin.

The released character posters capture the unique charm of the characters, showcasing the actors' perfect synchronization and commanding presence. First off, 'Kim Dokja' (Ahn Hyo-seop), the novel's only reader for over a decade, grabs attention with his intense gaze. His line, "I am the only reader who knows the ending of this world," sparks curiosity about how he will utilize his exclusive knowledge of the novel's plot.

The protagonist of the long-serialized novel, 'Yoo Joonghyuk' (Lee Min-ho), ponders, "Why has the world turned out this way?" His question amplifies anticipation for how the novel's world turned reality will unfold on screen.

'Yoo Sangah' (Chae Soo-bin), who faces the moment the novel becomes reality alongside 'Kim Dokja', exclaims, "Do we have to fight like this every day?" Initially overwhelmed by the surreal turn of events, they soon begin to battle unimaginable foes to survive. 'Kim Dokja's' ally 'Lee Hyunseong' (Shin Seung-ho), endowed with formidable strength, wonders, "How do you know all this, Mr. Dokja?" but gradually places his trust in 'Dokja', becoming a reliable shield for the group.

'Jung Heewon' (Nana), a fellow fighter for justice, looks intense as she says, "There's still one left. The one who chose to forsake his humanity." Her gaze and words leave us wondering about her past and how she will navigate future challenges. High school student 'Lee Jihye' (JISOO), who calls 'Yoo Joonghyuk' her master and follows him, confronts the group with, "In this world, only the strong survive." Her impassive face raises questions about her backstory.

The boy who communicates with insects and joins 'Dokja's' journey, 'Lee Gilyoung' (Kwon Eun-sung), also shows off his adorable presence. Eager to fight the monsters, he bravely declares, "I want to fight the monsters too," hinting at his unexpected contributions to come.

The released teaser trailer, with its fresh world-building and gripping narrative that doesn't let you look away for a second, draws gasps of amazement. Ordinary office worker 'Kim Dokja' encounters the moment the novel's world becomes reality while on his way home on the subway. Hearing an announcement that a subscription service has started, mirroring the start of the novel, he realizes, "This is just like the beginning of that novel!" Suddenly, a goblin-like creature appears, announcing, "All humans will be assigned a scenario. Kill at least one other life form," plunging the subway into chaos.

The ordinary world is gone, replaced by a completely different one where survival means killing. In a world where his favorite novel, known only to him, has become reality, 'Kim Dokja', along with novel's hero 'Yoo Joonghyuk', real-world ally 'Yoo Sangah', and others like 'Lee Hyunseong', 'Jung Heewon', 'Lee Jihye', and 'Lee Gilyoung', must use his unique knowledge of the plot to survive. The unique story of 'Omniscient Reader: The Prophet' raises expectations.

'Omniscient Reader: The Prophet' will be available in theaters nationwide in July.
