Despite the long holiday weekend, spanning from Labor Day to Children's Day, the box office saw no major upsets.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie tickets, 'Yadang: The Snitch' drew in a crowd of 121,340 nationwide on the 6th, maintaining its position at the top of the box office. The cumulative audience count has reached 2,673,134.
Excluding Children's Day on the 5th, when 'A Minecraft Movie' briefly took the top spot, 'Yadang: The Snitch' held onto the crown from the first day of the holiday on the 1st through to the 4th. Although it briefly relinquished its throne, it reclaimed the number one spot on the last day of the holiday, the 6th, emerging as the ultimate victor of the holiday period with a total audience of 831,334 from the 1st to the 6th.
Despite new releases such as 'Holy Night: Demon Hunters', 'The Old Woman with the Knife', and 'Thunderbolts*' ahead of the holiday, none managed to challenge 'Yadang: The Snitch'. 'Holy Night: Demon Hunters' did sparkle briefly as number one the day before the holiday, but could not maintain its momentum, falling to the third spot.
Despite being rated for mature audiences, 'Yadang: The Snitch' was the top pick for moviegoers during the Children's Day holiday, signaling a bright prospect of surpassing 3 million viewers.
