On April 30, Lee Sang-min shared a handwritten letter on his social media starting with, "Hello, this is Lee Sang-min."
"I know this news might come as a surprise to many of you, and I'm quite nervous as I share this," he wrote. "I've found someone I deeply love and plan to start the second chapter of my life with her."
He continued, "She's someone who makes me want to protect her through any hardship, and I believe we can spend a happy life together." Lee expressed his affection for his fiancée.
"Since she is such a precious person I found later in life, I was very cautious about sharing this news, even with those close to me. I know you might be surprised, but I would be truly grateful if you could share in our joy and bless us," he added. He also promised to live with more responsibility and gratitude towards those who support and encourage him.

Earlier in the day, a media outlet reported that Lee Sang-min was remarrying a younger non-celebrity. According to the report, Lee Sang-min is secretly preparing for the wedding, expected to take place sooner than the July wedding of the couple Kim Jun-ho and Kim Ji-min.
In response, SBS confirmed, "It's true that Lee Sang-min is remarrying a non-celebrity. The details will be shared in the broadcast of 'My Little Old Boy' on May 11."
Lee Sang-min, who debuted with Roo'ra in 1994 and enjoyed success as a musician and entrepreneur, married actress Lee Hye-young in 2004 but divorced the following year. He has since worked hard to pay off a debt of about 6.9 billion won incurred from a business failure, which was reportedly cleared last year.
Lee Sang-min has been active as an entertainer, appearing on SBS's 'My Little Old Boy', 'Invitation from Bachelor Again', and JTBC's 'Knowing Bros'. Notably, he has been the longest-running participant on 'My Little Old Boy' since 2017, sharing many aspects of his life through the program. Lee plans to reveal his remarriage story on 'My Little Old Boy' as well.
With Lee Sang-min's marriage, there is growing interest in whether he will leave 'My Little Old Boy' and 'Invitation from Bachelor Again'. The production teams of these programs have stated, "There has been no discussion on the matter yet."
