Starting with special broadcasts on May 6th (Tuesday) and May 7th (Wednesday), the new SBS drama 'Spring of Youth' (written by Kim Min-chul, directed by Kim Sung-yong) airs every Wednesday at 10:40 PM. It's a youthful music romance about the star of the top K-pop band, Four Seasons (played by Ha Yu-joon), who gets kicked out of the team and, through twists and turns, starts college life where he fatefully meets Kim Bom (played by Park Ji-hoo) and makes a splendid comeback.
'Spring of Youth' is a collaboration between director Kim Sung-yong of 'The Veil', 'My Dearest', the 'band powerhouse' FNC, and the 'mastermind' SBS, heralding the birth of a new sensation in youth drama with its meticulous direction emphasizing emotional lines, an OST that's a feast for the ears, and a differentiated touching story. Lead actors Ha Yu-joon, Park Ji-hoo, and Lee Seung-hyub are set to captivate viewers with their unique charm and fresh chemistry, rising as the stars of youth romance drama.
On the 30th, the team behind 'Spring of Youth' unexpectedly revealed the lineup of 'hilariously entertaining broadcasters' making special appearances in episodes 1 and 2 through the official SBS drama SNS account. Son Min-soo and Lim La-la, Kim Yong-myung, Moon Se-yoon, Jonathan and Patricia siblings, and Yu Jae-pil, a total of 7 broadcasters, will be intricately involved with Park Ji-hoo and Ha Yoo-jun in the episodes.
First off, Son Min-soo and Lim La-la transform into a hot campus couple, showcasing bold affection, while Kim Yong-myung plays a perennial student, perfectly embodying the role with his worn-out track pants and grumpy acting. Moon Se-yoon shines as the convenience store owner where Park Ji-hoo works, displaying exceptional slice-of-life acting. Jonathan and Patricia, along with Yu Jae-pil, bring their real-life characters to life with 200% comedic acting, appearing as quirky students who give Ha Yu-joon bizarre answers, becoming a source of laughter.
The broadcasters who made special appearances in episodes 1 and 2 shared that the filming was comfortable and enjoyable, adding a warm touch. Especially, Moon Se-yoon mentioned, "I'm a fan of the director's works, so I gladly accepted the offer to appear," and teased the viewers waiting for the first broadcast of 'Spring of Youth' with a short and impactful message, "Let's watch the show together."
Yu Jae-pil, who has been busy with numerous fan meetings, showcases, and press conferences, praised Ha Yu-joon after seeing him on set, saying, "Ha Yu-joon always greets everyone with a bright smile and positive energy. He's always cheering everyone on, which allowed me to also receive youthful energy and shoot well."
