'I Am Solo' Season 24's Young-sik Appeals: "Please Stop Treating Me Like a Criminal... It's Really Hard"

On the night of the 12th, Young-sik took to his social media to say, "I understand the anger of viewers after watching today’s episode. At that time, I was mentally and physically exhausted, and after drinking some makgeolli, my frustrations spilled out."

He continued, "I remember my awkward moments from last year's filming of 'I Am Solo' and I am reflecting and working on improving myself. Therefore, I kindly ask you to refrain from extreme criticisms like calling me a stalker or a criminal. It’s really hard for me," he lamented.

In the episode aired that day on SBS Plus and ENA, the solo men and women of Season 24 went on dates. Among them, five men gathered around Ok-soon for a 5-to-1 date, where they took turns trying to impress her during dinner.

Young-sik, who has consistently shown his affection for Ok-soon throughout 'I Am Solo' expressed his feelings during his turn to speak, saying, "You brought a spring-like excitement to my heart during this cold winter, and it felt warm." He added, "Even if you don’t choose me, I think I will be happy just knowing I liked you," and became emotional, shedding tears.

Ok-soon appeared taken aback, her expression stiffening, while the other men lowered their heads in silence. Unfazed, Young-sik declared, "I won’t worry about the broadcast," and began reading a letter he had prepared on his phone. He poured out his feelings of excitement caused by Ok-soon and the struggles he faced while trying to read the room during 'I Am Solo.' Young-sik spoke for an impressive 18 minutes, unable to stop his tears, creating a solemn atmosphere around him.

Later, after returning to the lodging, Ok-soon and the male contestants engaged in one-on-one conversations. During this time, Young-sik secretly watched Ok-soon and Young-ho talk from behind a door, once again catching them off guard.

During his one-on-one date with Ok-soon, Young-sik bombarded her with questions about her MBTI and food preferences, jotting down her answers in a notebook. However, his interpretations of her actual responses led to some confusion.
