[SBS Star] Lee Yi Kyung Recalls Receiving a Stern Rebuke From Yu Jae Seok for His Pre-Filming Drinking

Actor Lee Yi Kyung shared an episode where entertainer Yu Jae Seok confronted him for his negative behavior.

On January 30, MBC's television show 'Hangout with Yoo' aired a spin-off episode featuring singer HAHA, Lee Yi Kyung, and model Joo Woo Jae on their trip to Sokcho City.

The three stars visited a restaurant on their last course of trip and had an honest talk over their meal.

Lee Yi Kyung mentioned Yu Jae Seok while expressing how much 'Hangout with Yoo' members mean to him.

"Jae Seok has been helping me to become a decent person.", the actor said.

"One day, after shooting a commercial, I had a few drinks with the sponsors. The day following was the shooting for this show, and I thought it went better than usual. After that, I started a habit of drinking the day before the filming."
"It turns out that Jae Seok knew what I was doing. He contacted me and sternly rebuked me for my behavior. He had even given me a final warning.", Lee Yi Kyung stated.

Joo Woo Jae added, "I recall Jae Seok reprimanding you for it several times on set. Yet, he did so in a controlled way, repressing his anger."

Lee Yi Kyung resumed, "It was like being struck by lightning. I did all that to do a better job on the show, but Jae Seok saw through me. I was startled when he told me to stop relying on alcohol."
"It's okay. You can change your behavior now that Jae Seok has addressed it. He could understand you since there's been a person far worse than you in Jae Seok's life.", Joo Woo Jae quipped, pointing at HAHA.

HAHA chuckled and related his story about how Yu Jae Seok rebuked him for his behavior.

"It happened in the early days of 'Infinite Challenge'. I overslept and arrived at the filming site one hour late. The entire cast and crew were waiting without filming the show's opening."

"Jae Seok saw me and said, 'Ha Dong-hoon (HAHA's real name), are you crazy? Who do you think you are? Is this show a joke to you? Look at the folks here. Everybody is putting their life on the show.'. It was horrible to be the guy Jae Seok was being angry with."
HAHA resumed, "I realized that what I did was wrong. I apologized and said I would never do that again."

"Then Jae Seok was like, 'Today, on the show, you are generating three big laugh-out-loud moments for the viewers, ten middle-sized ones, and thirty small-sized ones. Got it?'. So I did that.", the singer remarked.

HAHA shared that to this day, he does not drink the day before filming.

The singer added, "The impact of that moment is still strong, even after getting married and becoming a father of three. It was so terrifying back then that I got weepy."
