[SBS Star] Park Myung-soo Chooses DAY6 Concert over Awards Ceremony Despite Chance of Winning

Entertainer Park Myung-soo made an interesting decision to attend K-pop boy band DAY6's concert instead of going to "2024 KBS Entertainment Awards," despite having a chance to win a major award.

On December 23, KBS Cool FM's Park Myung-soo's "Radio Show" aired as usual.

During the broadcast, Park Myung-soo read a listener's message: "Did you enjoy DAY6's concert? I saw the video of you enjoying it without any expression."

Park Myung-soo chuckled and responded, "It's been a while since I watched a band performance, and DAY6's concert was a lot of fun. To be honest, I didn't know more than half of the songs, but I made an effort to get into them. When songs I recognized came on, I sang along and had a great time. It was such a wonderful experience." 

He continued, "Watching DAY6, a popular band representing the younger generation, I learned a lot. I also felt like I gained insight into current trends."
Having hosted "Radio Show" on KBS Cool FM since 2015, Park Myung-soo was considered a strong  candidate for the grand prize at "2024 KBS Entertainment Awards."

However, his decision to skip the event in favor of attending DAY6's concert garnered attention.

His close industry friend Yu Jae Seok, who was present at "2024 KBS Entertainment Awards," actually commented on Park Myung-soo's absence, saying with a laugh, "Park Myung-soo went to DAY6's concert today. Sometimes, you need to draw energy from things like that. I also really like DAY6."
