On December 4, Lee Seung Gi guested on MBC FM4U's radio show 'Music Party' hosted by comedian Kim Shin-young.
"I'm excited to be here today. It's been a while since I last appeared on a radio show.", Lee Seung Gi said as he introduced himself to the listeners.
As Kim Shin-young congratulated him on his 20th anniversary in the industry, Lee Seung Gi said, "When I celebrated my 10th anniversary, it didn't feel like a long time had passed. And now, suddenly, it's been twenty years!"
The new version of 'Because You're My Woman' attracted extra attention because Lee Seung Gi revealed that he worked with Cha Eun-woo.
'Because You're My Woman' is about a guy expressing his love for a woman older than him, which is the song Lee Seung Gi released with his debut in 2004.
The song became a hit, and the singer earned the nickname 'national younger brother' because of the line, 'You're my woman, noona.'
"The listeners should be able to relate to this song and get their heart flutter. Now, though, my 'Because You're My Woman' would not excite people's interest no matter how I sing it.", the singer playfully stated.
Lee Seung Gi then revealed what made him collaborate with Cha Eun-woo on the new 'Because You're My Woman'.
"I was a teenager in 2004. Naturally, many women out there were noonas to me. But now that I become older, there aren't as many noonas out there. So I asked my dear hoobae Cha Eun-woo, who I am a big fan of, to collaborate with me."
Before the show ended, Lee Seung Gi commented, "I hope this album will be something people can listen to with much delight."
