Comedian Lee Hee-kyung (42) has shared her overwhelming joy after announcing her pregnancy 10 years into her marriage.
On May 26, Lee personally shared the happy news on her social media, writing, "An angel baby has finally come to us after 10 years of marriage."
"My husband and I tried so hard to have a baby, but it wasn't easy," Lee confessed. "Trying for a natural pregnancy at age 43 felt like we were being greedy, so we finally gathered the courage to visit a fertility clinic." She continued, "But right before we were about to start IVF (In Vitro Fertilization), our baby came to us naturally like a miracle. Everything is a blessing and a gift."
Lee is currently 16 weeks pregnant and has entered her stable period. "Because of my advanced maternal age, I was anxious every single day until I could see the gestational sac and hear the heartbeat," she recalled. "I thought I would scream with joy when I first heard the heartbeat, but I couldn't say a word. I just cried endlessly."
The accompanying video shows her receiving an ultrasound with her husband at the clinic, as well as Lee shedding tears, unable to hold back her emotions.
Lee married a businessman seven years her senior in 2016, and she is now expecting her first child after 10 years of marriage.
