Virtual idol PLAVE just hit a new career high with their latest album.
According to Hanteo Chart on April 20, the group’s fourth mini album, “Caligo Pt. 2,” released on April 13, recorded approximately 1.25 million first-week sales, marking their best-ever opening week.
Previously, PLAVE surpassed 1.03 million with mini 3rd album “Caligo Pt. 1” and 1.09 million with the single “PLBBUU,” becoming the first virtual idol act to achieve million-seller status. With this new album, they’ve raised the bar again. “Caligo Pt. 2” expands the story of “Caligo Pt. 1,” diving deeper into the group’s universe and immersion.
Led by the title track “Born Savage,” the project is rooted in rock while spanning a cappella, R&B hip-hop, ballad, and new jack swing―broadening their musical spectrum.
PLAVE is a five-member virtual boy group that debuted on March 12, 2023. The group name blends “Play” and the French word “Rêve” (dream).
