'Single's Inferno 5' Choi Mina-Sue Turns Reality TV Buzz Into Advertising Gold

After turning heads on the Netflix reality show "Single’s Inferno 5", Choi Mina-Sue is flipping the script―rapidly emerging as a “blue chip” in the advertising world.

Since her appearance on "Single’s Inferno 5", Choi ranked No. 1 for three straight ranked No. 1 for three consecutive weeks in non-drama performer buzz across TV and OTT platforms. Her dating style and on-screen persona sparked debate, fueling both controversy and attention. In the end, that sky-high visibility is flowing straight into the ad market.

According to her agency Chorokbaem Media, Choi is fielding offers across categories―from marine and leisure brands to skincare, fashion, and beauty devices. Industry watchers point to her blend of a healthy yet refined image, her natural vibe and styling range, and a sharp, trendy sensibility as key strengths.

“She isn’t locked into one image. She can sell a wide range of moods convincingly―that’s her biggest edge,” said an industry insider, calling her “a model who can maximize synergy with multiple brands.”

Choi―who was Miss Korea Sun (first runner-up) in 2021 and won Miss Earth in 2022―ended "Single’s Inferno 5" as a final couple with Lee Seong-hoon, drawing major buzz. During the show, MC Hong Jin-kyung’s remark “Please, that’s enough,” during a tense moment on the show, sparked controversy, but Hong later apologized at the wrap party and the incident was resolved. Choi is also confirmed for tvN’s upcoming "Kill It: Style Creator War," set to premiere in May.
