Ahead of its April 22 (Wed) premiere, the production unveiled the poster on the 17th, teasing a fiery “love call” from sellout-savvy home shopping host Dam Ye-jin (Chae Won-bin) to perfectionist farmer Matthew Lee (Ahn Hyo-seop).
In the poster, young farmer Matthew Lee sits before a wall of TVs. Work gloves peek out of his overalls pocket, and a faint smile rests on his face, like he just stepped away from the fields.
The surrounding TV screens show Dam Ye-jin in the middle of a live home shopping broadcast, selling a range of products. The way every gaze of on-screen Ye-jin zeroes in on Matthew, as if she can see him through the glass, makes the setup especially fun.
One line pops next to Ye-jin’s face as she clasps her hands, eyes sparkling: “CEO? Please, I’m begging you.” Matthew, sitting with his back to the TVs, coolly counters, “I’m not a CEO. Absolutely not.”
Why does Ye-jin keep calling Matthew “CEO”? And what is she so desperately asking him for? Curiosity peaks as we wonder whether Ye-jin can win over Matthew’s heart―said to be tougher to reach than the stars in the sky.
Through this teaser, "Sold Out On You" hints at a lively push-and-pull between Matthew and Ye-jin over “that thing,” making viewers eager to see their chemistry. Will Ye-jin’s nonstop love call break through Matthew’s icy defenses? The series is already poised to “sell out” viewers’ romance cells.
