On SBS Special "Mongle Mongle Mongle", head counselor Lee Hyo-ri serves up a crash course in love for the “Mongle” youths who are curious about dating.

"Mongle Mongle Mongle" is the latest project from director Ko Hye-rin, who won the Baeksang Arts Award for Best Play for Hakjeon And The Rest: Kim Min-ki. The show follows young adults with developmental disabilities (hereafter “Mongle”) who dream of love but haven’t had the chance yet, as they receive dating coaching from married duo Lee Hyo-ri and Lee Sang-soon over an eight-week journey to find their First Love.

The series, praised for its sincere look at the Mongle youths’ dating and growth, debuted at No. 7 (as of March 12) on Netflix’s Today’s Top 10 Series in South Korea. In an age of dopamine overload, viewers are falling for the Mongle cast’s pure, gentle charm and the warm, practical guidance from counselors Lee Hyo-ri and Lee Sang-soon―fueling major word-of-mouth buzz.

In episode 2, airing Sunday, March 15, Lee Hyo-ri and Lee Sang-soon hear post-blind date recaps from the Mongle participants and offer heartfelt advice and encouragement. Lee Hyo-ri also gives a Love 101 talk to answer all the questions that bubbled up after the first dates.

Oh Ji-hyun, who earned the nickname “human vitamin” in episode 1 thanks to her bright personality and way with words, looks back on her date with national swimmer Lee In-guk. “He was so cool, it felt like I got hit with 15 love arrows,” she gushes, before asking, “Is it true that when you’re in love, you only see that one person?” Lee Hyo-ri replies, “There can be people who look handsome to the eye, but the only one who’s handsome in my heart is Lee Sang-soon.” Her answer makes Lee Sang-soon beam. “Total romantic,” Oh Ji-hyun says, eyeing the couple’s sweet chemistry with envy.

“Love is hard to explain in words,” Lee Hyo-ri continues. “But when you like someone, you keep thinking about them. You lie down to sleep and they pop into your head. Even when you eat something delicious, you think of them.” Her definition has the Mongle crew hanging on every word.

Meanwhile, Yoo Ji-hoon’s unfiltered charm disarms Lee Hyo-ri all over again. When she shares, “We first met on a blind date, too,” Yoo Ji-hoon looks at Lee Hyo-ri and Lee Sang-soon across from him and says, “You two matched well.” Quick-witted as ever, Lee Hyo-ri bursts into laughter and quips, “Ji-hoon is definitely my natural enemy,” clearly loving his straightforward style as their playful back-and-forth continues.

Drawing attention as a real, heart-fluttering, and warm dating-growth story of young adults with developmental disabilities―one that feels even more swoon-worthy than "Extraordinary Attorney Woo"―"Mongle Mongle Mongle" airs episode 2 on Sunday, March 15 at 11:05 p.m.
